Applications may vary depending on the position for which you are applying. We look for the following when considering applications:
- A completed application form (filled in electronically or by hand)
- A covering letter no more than two pages
- A resume that includes:
– educational background, including academic transcripts (where applicable)
– relevant work history including achievements
– membership of professional organisations
– interests including voluntary and/or charity work
– relevant skills or experiences
– recent professional development courses
– prizes, scholarships or awards
– name and contact numbers of 3 appropriate professional referees
(your current Principal will be required for teaching roles)
– a statement of educational philosophy (for teaching positions)

Position: English Teacher
Contract, Full-Time position 1.0FTE 2020 School Year
About the Role:
The study of English is central to the learning and development of all young Australians. It helps create confident communicators, imaginative thinkers, and informed citizens. It is through the study of English that individuals learn to analyse, understand, communicate, and build relationships with others and with the world around them. The study of English plays a key role in the development of reading and literacy skills which help young people develop the knowledge and skills needed for education, training, and the workplace. It helps them become ethical, thoughtful, informed, and active members of society. In this light, it is clear that the Australian Curriculum and SACE English plays an important part in developing the understanding, attitudes and capabilities of those who will take responsibility for Australia’s future. We are seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified teacher with a clear understanding of the needs of adolescents to fill the role of a Middle and Senior English Teacher.
Prioritising the development of positive relationships with all those involved in the student’s learning, the teacher will work as part of a teaching team to deliver relevant curriculum in the core learning area of English.
