Pedare Application Process

Your Application

Applications may vary depending on the position for which you are applying. We look for the following when considering applications:

  • A completed application form (filled in electronically or by hand)
  • A covering letter no more than two pages
  • A resume that includes:
    –    educational background, including academic transcripts (where applicable)
    –    relevant work history including achievements
    –    membership of professional organisations
    –    interests including voluntary and/or charity work
    –    relevant skills or experiences
    –    recent professional development courses
    –    prizes, scholarships or awards
    –    name and contact numbers of 3 appropriate professional referees
    (your current Principal will be required for teaching roles)
    –    a statement of educational philosophy (for teaching positions)

Current Positions

Position: Middle School Teacher/Specialist Program in Netball Coordinator 

Tenure:

This is contract part time 0.8 FTE position, Terms 1-3 2020 (covering Parental Leave)

About the Role:

The Middle and Senior School at Pedare Christian College caters for 600 students in Years 6 to 12 and uses the IB MYP framework, Australian Curriculum and SACE for curriculum delivery. It acknowledges that Middle and Senior Schooling are specific developmental stages and, in response, the curriculum provides a breadth of challenges to all students and involves them in making decisions about their own learning.

The other key part of the role is to work with the Director of Sport in promoting the Netball program, SPiN and SPiN +, at Pedare. As the Coordinator, you will provide support and guidance to our Coaches and students from Reception to Year 12. The Coordinator will have an interest in developing young children and adolescents and is passionate about Netball, health, fitness and being a positive role model.

Position: Assistant Head of Junior School

Tenure: This is permanent full time 1.0 FTE teaching position with a Position of Responsibility

About the Role:

Commencing in January 2020, the Assistant Head of Junior School is a permanent teaching position with a 5-year Position of Responsibility tenure. In this position, you will work with the Head of Junior School to enhance the strategic direction of Pedare Christian College. By using your leadership and vision, you will be committed to the ongoing development and wellbeing of Junior School students and staff.
