Three Pedarian Olympians

Mark Ormrod (Year 12, 2000/2001), who won silver in the 4 x 400 relay at the 2004 Athens Olympics, was a team member at the Beijing Olympics in August 2008.

Steve Brown (Year 12, 2003) competed in Judo. Steven began training in Judo "because of his school mates" and his childhood ambition was to go to the Olympics. He is now setting his sights on London in 2012.
Paul Raison
(Year 12, 1995) won silver in men's shot put (F44) and a bronze medal in men's 4x100 relay (T42-T46) at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. Paul also competed in the men's discus throw (F44).

- Bridgette Abell (nee Barendregt) (98) is married to Luke and has a son, Hayden. Bridgette works as a police officer.
- Bethany Adams (98) did a Diploma of Public Relations and a Degree in Communications Studies and works as a marketing and development manager.
- Martin Adams (03) and Daniel Butler (02), UniSA Computer Science students, were recently awarded the BAE Systems George Haskard Prize for the most outstanding project.
- Benjamin Adamson (98) and Nicole de la Perrelle (99) married in August 2008 at St George’s Church, Magill. Pedare old scholar musicians included Matthew Wilson (98), Simeon Jones (00), Daniel Butler (02) and Brett Steinert (02). Nicolle Macaitis (nee Datson) (99) was an usher. The groom’s sisters, Jane Adamson (90), Kate Adamson (93), Claire Adamson (04) and Emily Adamson (current Year 10) sang ‘The Rose’ during the signing of the register.
- Claire Adamson (04) graduated with a Diploma in Child Care Services and is working full time in child care.
- Marcus Anderson (98) studied a Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics (Hons) and works as a project manager.
- Rachael Bambach (98) is a quality specialist for an airline.
- Daniel Bartel (95) and his wife, Celia (nee Errington) (90), had a son, Samuel James, born in July 2008, a brother for Hannah and Benjamin.
- David Bartel (96) and his wife, Michelle, had a son in July 2008, a brother for Summer.
- Scott Borlace (98/99) completed a Bachelor of Applied Science and postgraduate studies and works as a teacher.
- Christos Bouras (98) completed a CLB/BA/CLM and works as a solicitor.
- Jared Brown (98) is a drummer with the band ‘Hot Lies’.
- Steve Brown (03) represented Australia at the Beijing Olympics in judo. Steve was the first South Australian Olympian competing in judo and although he didn’t receive any medals, he is now working towards the next Olympics in London.
- Tim Caddy (94) married Suzanne Graham at St Peter’s Cathedral in September 2008 and they honeymooned in Hawaii. Tim works as a service manager.
- Lauren Cortis (98) studied Pharmacy and works as a pharmacist.
- Danielle Copini (07) is studying Junior Primary Teaching at UniSA.
- Danielle Cronin (98) has two children, Kristina who is four, and Elijah who is one, with her partner, Lachlan Williams.
- Robin Duff (03) is the proud father of a girl, Riley Anne.
- Jacqui Emery (92) became engaged to Benjamin McCann in July 2008 in the gardens of the Chateau of Versailles.
- James Evans (95) is living in the UK and plans to marry in August 2008. He has been based in the UK for the past seven years and works as a sales manager.
- Gemma Farquhar (01) is an airline senior advisor for flight operations.
- Kerry Folland (nee Stainer) (98) has been married to David for 8 ½ years and has one daughter named Megan (named after former teacher and friend at Pedare) who is six years old and another baby on the way (due February 2009). Kerry currently works at two jobs; as a Product Development Manager and as a librarian in a primary school. She is also studying part time for a Diploma in Library Studies and is involved in a few Christian groups that help to plan and organise events and programs.
- Simon Forth (98) completed a Diploma in Dental Technology and works as a dental technician in orthodontics.
- Sarah Gibson (nee Ellis) (95) has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Major) and Chartered Accountant. Sarah married Brett in June 2007 and works as an accountant.
- Ryan Giles (99) graduated from TafeSA with an MBA in international hotel and restaurant management.
- Sonya Gladigau (98) was married in August 2008.
- Courtney Grant-Allen (nee Bratt) (96) and her husband, Tim, welcomed twins on June 18, 2008.Chase Douglas and Lily Amber, are a brother and a sister for their eldest son.
- Gary Gliddon (92) and Jacqui Gliddon (nee Sims) (97) had a son, Ethan, born in July 2008; a brother for twin sisters.
- Tenille Hartzenberg (nee Millhouse) (97) was married in May 2008 and works as a youth relationships coordinator.
- Richard Hern (98) and his wife, Kylie, had a daughter, Annie Joan, born in August 2008.
- Aaron Hughes (00) married Amy Johnson in July 2008 at St Paul of the Cross Church in Blackwood. Old Scholars Scott Harvey (00), Lee Johnson (00) and Shane Lock (00) were in the wedding party. Aaron is a training officer and Amy is a Japanese teacher.
- Kristy Johnson (98) completed a Bachelor of Education (Junior Primary/Primary) and works as a teacher.
- Talitha Kamines (98) studied a Bachelor of Education (Junior Primary/Primary) and works as a teacher.
- Jane Kara-Ali (98) studied a Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons) Conservation and Park Management and a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) and works as a high school teacher.
- Catherine Klepczinski (98) completed a Bachelor of Commerce and works as a tax accountant.
- Katherine Lediaev (98) did further studies in law and arts and works as a lawyer.

- Anita Marwood (94) and Damien Abarno were married at Wesley Uniting Church, Kent Town, in June 2008.

- Kimberly Morgan (nee McLean) (Year 11, 97) did Justice Studies, works as a police officer and is married with one son, Nate.
- Mark Ormrod (00/01) was part of the 4 x 400 relay team at his second Olympics after winning Silver at the Athens Olympics in 2004.

- Shannon Penn (98) is captain of the Jaguars state league netball team.
- Glenn Pfitzenmeier (98) did a Bachelor of Commerce in Adelaide, Masters of Tax in NSW, and Chartered Accountant. Glenn works as a tax officer and enjoys playing tennis.
- Wendy Pfitzenmeier (98) completed a Bachelor of Journalism and works as a manager of media and communications.

- Kirsty Scott (nee Elrick) (98) completed a Bachelor of Nursing and works as a registered nurse. Kirsty and her husband have two girls.
- Shanna Scott (nee Smith) (Year 11, 97) completed a Certificate IV Youth Work, is married to Ben and has two children. Shanna is a full time mum.
- Todd Sloan (98) works in the banking industry.
- Steve Szyndler (98) is doing a graduate certificate in sustainable business at UniSA.
- Monique Tabuena (nee Cronin) (01) married Jason Tabuena in March 2008 and their first child, Cleo, was born in June weighing 7lbs 6oz.
- Bree Tassell (nee Taylor) (90) is married to Mark and they have two children, Mya and Jade. Bree works as a sales executive.
- Rebecca Trenorden (98) is studying a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Interior Architecture Hons. Rebecca works as an interior designer.
- Tamara Walsh (nee Hamilton) (99) was married in April 2008 and is expecting her first child in February 2009.
- Catherine Ward (nee Dyason) (96) and her husband Michael Ward (96) had their first child, Oliver, in June 2008.
- Craig Wilson (98) lives and works in London, England as a construction project planner and will be returning to Australia in 2009.
- Amy Zimmermann (02) is engaged to Andrew Medlen (02).
