Out-of-School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care

Pedare OSHC welcomes Pedare students and families into our out of school hours service. We are proud to have created a safe and supportive extension from the classroom, ensuring we are caring for and contributing to students’ growth and development. The safety and wellbeing of students is our priority, with all OSHC educators certified first aiders who practice active supervision at all times.

At Pedare, we pride ourselves on creating an engaging, dynamic and student-centred curriculum in our OSHC facility students take part in planning our programs for both before and after-school hours care and Vacation Care. Our new OSHC building features multiple play and rest areas which have been designed to meet and support each student’s needs.

As well as the OSHC space, students have access to other areas of the Junior School including the Junior School Library, Playgrounds and Blue Gum Sport Centre.

Our OSHC building has a designated dining space where each day children are provided with various breakfast items, filtered drinking water, fruit and vegetable platters as well as a cooked afternoon tea option. All our menu items have been thoughtfully planned and influenced by the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating from the Department of Health website as well as families’ cultures and children’s preferences.

We have partnered with local family-run business Frankie’s Grocers for our weekly fresh fruit, vegetable and milk deliveries to ensure the children in our care have access to fresh produce and to reduce our waste each week.

Pedare OSHC is available and caters to all Pedare students from Reception to Year 7.

• Students new to Pedare may be considered, in consultation with Heads of School and the OSHC Director, to attend Vacation Care before the start of the academic year.
