Pedare Christian College Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care

The Pedare Christian College OSHC educators would like to welcome all families & children to our service. We are proud to offer the Pedare community with support in caring and contributing to children’s growth and development. Children’s health and safety is our top priority and our educators will practise active supervision at all times.

Pedare OSHC provides children with a choice of supervised play areas which are designed to meet their needs and support their interests.

In our OSHC room, children have access to a wide range of games, crafts, and books, as well as bean bags, pillows, and blankets for rest and relaxation. The OSHC room also hosts our OSHC Café. Children are provided with a variety of fruits, drinking water, skim milk, and a weekly menu influenced by The Australian Guide to Healthy Eating from the Department of Health website.

We offer a supervised homework room, which is a quiet space dedicated to completing homework tasks with support from an educator.

The Pedare Junior School playground is available for all children to play on throughout the session. In this space, educators influence safe play behaviour.

Other outdoor areas include the undercover deck, the exterior foyer, and the oval, which will host a range of active games such as water-play activities, group games, and sports games.

The Pedare OSHC is available to all children from Reception to Year 6.

We have reviewed the OSHC Enrolment Policy. Pedare OSHC will update and implement the following changes beginning 28 November 2019.

• In extenuating circumstances, in consultation with the Principal, Year 7 students may be considered.
• Students new to Pedare may be considered, in consultation with Heads of School and the OSHC Director, to attend Vacation Care prior to start of the academic year.

Enrol for OSHC

We recommend completing the below steps using a computer or laptop device.

Step 1. CREATE A XAP ACCOUNT

• Click on the link.  Create a XAP Account
• Complete the required information
• Press “Create Account”
• You will immediately receive an email from Xap with the subject: [Action Required] Pedare OSHC has invited you to join Xap!. 
• Open this email and “Create your password”.

Step 2:  COMPLETE THE CHILD’S ENROLMENT

• Log in to your Xap Account.
• Press the “Edit Enrolment’ button
• Complete the required information and upload relevant documentation. 
• Press the ‘Submit’ button
• Your child’s enrolment will be reviewed by the Director. You will receive a confirmation email once your Enrolment is accepted. 
• Press the purple “Accept Offer’ button.

Step 3. ADD ANOTHER CHILD

• Log in to your Xap online portal.
• Press the green plus sign ( + ) located at the top right corner of your screen.
• Fill in the required information
• Press Save

COMPLETE THE CHILD’S ENROLMENT

• Press the “Edit Enrolment’ button.
  Complete the required information and upload relevant documentation. 
• Press the ‘Submit’ button. 
• Your child’s enrolment will be reviewed by the Director. You will receive a confirmation email once your Enrolment is accepted. 
• Press the purple “Accept Offer’ button.
