Pedare Christian College Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care

The Pedare Christian College OSHC team welcomes all Pedare students and families into our wonderful purpose built service. We are proud to have created an safe, secure and supportive extension from the classroom, ensuring we are all caring and contributing to children’s growth and development. The safety and wellbeing of the children in our care is our top priority with all our educators certified first aiders who practice active supervision at all times.

Here at Pedare we pride ourselves on creating a engaging, dynamic and student-centred curriculum in classrooms and also our OSHC facility, which is why we have the children take part in planning our programs for both before and after-school hours care and Vacation care. We purposely designed a building with multiple play and rest areas which have been designed to meet and support each child’s needs. 

As well as the OSHC space, children have access to other areas of the Junior school during the sessions such as the Junior school Library, Playground and Blue Gum Sport Centre.
While in OSHC children have access to a wide range of craft and cooking activities, play areas with wonderful resources and designated rest spaces. 

Our OSHC building has a designated dining space where each day children are provided with various breakfast items, filtered drinking water, fruit and vegetable platters as well as a cooked afternoon tea option. All our menu items have been thoughtfully planned and influenced by the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating from the Department of Health website as well as families’ cultures and children’s preferences.

We have partnered with local family-run business Frankie’s Grocers for our weekly fresh fruit, vegetable and milk deliveries to ensure the children in our care have access to fresh produce and to reduce our waste each week.

Pedare OSHC is available and caters to all Pedare students from Mid-year Reception to Year 7.

• Students new to Pedare may be considered, in consultation with Heads of School and the OSHC Director, to attend Vacation Care before the start of the academic year.

Enrol for OSHC

We recommend completing the below steps using a computer or laptop device.

Step 1. CREATE A XAP ACCOUNT

• Click on the link.  Create a XAP Account
• Complete the required information
• Press “Create Account”
• You will immediately receive an email from Xap with the subject: [Action Required] Pedare OSHC has invited you to join Xap!. 
• Open this email and “Create your password”.

Step 2:  COMPLETE THE CHILD’S ENROLMENT

• Log in to your Xap Account.
• Press the “Edit Enrolment’ button
• Complete the required information and upload relevant documentation. 
• Press the ‘Submit’ button
• Your child’s enrolment will be reviewed by the Director. You will receive a confirmation email once your Enrolment is accepted. 
• Press the purple “Accept Offer’ button.

Step 3. ADD ANOTHER CHILD

• Log in to your Xap online portal.
• Press the green plus sign ( + ) located at the top right corner of your screen.
• Fill in the required information
• Press Save

COMPLETE THE CHILD’S ENROLMENT

• Press the “Edit Enrolment’ button.
  Complete the required information and upload relevant documentation. 
• Press the ‘Submit’ button. 
• Your child’s enrolment will be reviewed by the Director. You will receive a confirmation email once your Enrolment is accepted. 
• Press the purple “Accept Offer’ button.
